Welcome back everyone! Happy to have you hear to check out another Musical Episode. This week we’re going for another installment of Girl Group Sounds! This is volume four so if you’re a fan there are three past episodes you should check out, they’re chock full of great 45s!

This week’s mix stays in the late 50’s – early 60’s window as you’d expect and has some records that are more pop, a little country and some that tend a bit more toward Northern soul. Still, they all share a quality that keeps that tethered in some way to what’s come to be know as the “girl group” sound.

These records, along with being sublime pieces of music are also interesting because they often set the stage for the career of a lot of soul singers OR were total fabrications and studio musicians that we never heard from again.

Hope you enjoy and I say it in the mix but you can also follow me on instagram @musicalepisode

All power to the people,

-George / Snack Attack
