Welcome back everyone and hope your 2022 is off to a peaceful and happy start.

This week’s mix is a loose one. I was just knocking around in the record room and had been sorting and building some different piles when I had the itch to record so I kept things loose and just played records I wanted to hear without worrying too much about an overall theme connecting them all.

Lots of favorite tunes on here, Barbara Lynn’s “Promises” is a standout – everything she touches is!- but this one has a cool, kind of unusual sounding organ line accompanying her that I really love. The Christine Cooper, Steinways and Tina Britt sides are all really beautiful upbeat Northern sounding tracks and the Madeline Bell, Mary Wells and Them sides are all a bit more heavy.

Life has been truly challenging recently keeping me away from my records and not giving me much time to play but I’m hoping to be able to carve out some more time and keep the podcast and the IG account somewhat regular so hopefully we’ll cross paths one way or another.

Peace,

-George / Snack Attack
