Welcome back to another Musical Episode, this week we have a pile of 45s from the 70s all super funky- heavy bass lines, vocoders and synths galore. Some of these tracks incorporate more disco elements than usual on the podcast but all these tracks have hard hitting drums and are a lot of fun.

There’s two tracks here associated with the prolific and supremely talented Hamilton Bohannon who was a producer for Motown before striking out on his own and producing a seemingly endless supply of sprawling and super funky tracks.

Also worth noting there are two great very late era Stax singles by Sho-Nuff and The Bar-Kays, it’s such a shame the company wasn’t able to continue on as an independent, vision driven company during that period, there was so much talent and potential in a rapidly changing industry.

A couple classics with Rock Creek Park and Chameleon round things out.

Hope you enjoy and will be back soon with more!

Peace,

-George / Snack Attack
